2015 Waterford Estate ‘Pecan Stream’ Chenin Blanc

The Waterford Estate came about through the collaboration of two families – the Ords and the Arnolds – who purchased these prime vineyards sites in the picturesque Blaauwklippen Valley in 1998. They built a new winery and revitalised existing vines and orchards that were in place.
The property now boasts 120 hectares in the heart of the Stellenbosch region. Kevin Arnold is cellar master with over 20 years’ experience in the area.
The Blaauwklippen valley is situated in the heart of the Stellenbosch wine region, with the Helderberg mountain to the south and Simonsberg Mountain further north. The area has a relatively hot and dry climate, although maritime breezes arise from False Bay which aids the cultivation of white varieties in particular.
Very versatile with any light meat, fish, salad or vegetarian dishes.
