This is 100% old vine Merlot from a tiny parcel (0.56ha) of exceptional terroir in heart of the Pomerol vineyard.
The grapes are hand-harvested and sorted yielding between 30-35 hl per hectare. 50% of the wine is fermented in tank with "pigeage" and 3-4 weeks post-fermentation maceration, the other 50% is fermented in barriques with a maceration of 5-6 weeks after which the wine is aged in new oak for 12-15 months.
Drink in 10 to 15 years.
