This wine is fortified using neutral grape brandy to preserve the delicate aromas and fresh, ripe flavours, followed by ageing in French oak barrels for 3 months.

The Quady winery is based near Fresno in California, and is unique in that it specialises in the production solely of sweet, fortified and aperitif style wines. Having already commenced production of the Essensia Orange Muscat (another WineTrust favourite) and with a growing reputation, the Quady winery was contacted by a local grower with unwanted Black Muscat grapes previously used to make sacramental wine at a local church. Producer Andrew Quady employed the same techniques he used to make his successful Essensia wine - and thus began production of the Elysium Black Muscate dessert wine!
Works well with any pastry based puddings and desserts – with most fruits. Or just sip on its own. Serve chilled.
