John Duval Plexus White

Australia, Barossa Valley

Another star wine from legendary winemaker John Duval. Fine take on a classic blend of Rhône varietals with a balanced tropical fruit overlay. Notes of dried apricot and honeysuckle, with low key vanilla oak all come together in a sumptuous, moreish cocktail.”

Producer

John Duval was for many years Penfolds senior winemaker and oversaw the production of the mighty Grange. Since 2003 John has worked on his own range of wines – remaining true to his core roots in the Barossa Valley. The Plexus Rhône white blend was launched on 2010 – being a combination of Marsanne and Roussanne, supplemented with a judicious dollop of Viognier from the cooler Eden Valley hills.

Food Match

Works a treat with pork ribs and a sticky BBQ style sauce, or slow cooked pork belly with a bell pepper and orange sauce.
