Origin

This wine is from the estate of Langlois Chateau, in Saumur situated in the heart of the Loire Valley. Grapes are sourced from 6 quality terroirs which largely consist of chalky soils, very favourable to the production of elegant wines.

Grape Variety

60% Chennin Blanc, 20% Cabernet Franc, 20% Chardonnay.

Grapes are entirely handpicked and pneumatically pressed immediately after gathering. Clever use of the red Cabernet Franc grape to add weight and texture (à la Pinot Noir in Champagne). Maturation on lees for a minimum of 24 months.

Alcohol Percentage

12.5%

Cellar Potential

Enjoy from now until 2015.

Producer

The 19th Century Langlois Chateau has long had a fine reputation, but in the last 40 years significant Bollinger investment in both the vineyards and cellars has transformed the quality. Today they are one of the very finest producers in the region.

Food Match

Fine bubbles, freshness and elegance, this Crémant de Loire Brut is perfect as an aperitif or at any celebration. Brilliant with crab salad or sushi.

In the press

“Fresh orchard fruit aromas burst from the glass of this easy-drinking Chenin Blanc, Cabernet Franc and
Chardonnay blend. In the mouth it is honeyed and balanced with an Old World feel. A good-value winter
party fizz from a Bollinger-owned estate."
