From 40 year old vines in the Western Cape, South Africa. The centre of South Africa's wine making industry, traditionally producers are known for their Bordeaux blends, Pinotage and - like in this wine - honeyed Chenin Blanc.
80% Chenin Blanc and 20% Viognier.
There is quite a significant proportion of older (40 year old) vines in the blend; the Chenin grapes comes from old, bush (self supporting) vines. The producers have kept the wine well away from oak in order to highlight the expressive fruit and aromatic qualities.

This wine is made by Marinda Kruger-van Eck for Boutinot South Africa. Now their 22nd vintage in South Africa, Boutinot have a long-standing relationship with their affiliated growers, and know how and where to source the best quality grapes for their wines.
This is lovely to drink on its own, but plenty of body to work well with simple foods such as grilled fish or chicken, BBQ garlic chilli prawns. Also works well with avocado salad (with Romaine lettuce, tomato, with/without dry cured bacon or ham).
