A tremendous everyday drinking Malbec from Mendoza, and from an estate we already hold in high regard – Pulenta. Oodles of juicy blackberry fruit with gentle, dusty tannins and an easy drinking, mildly jammy style. Spot on.”

Origin

Based at Alto Agrelo in Mendoza, Pulenta own 135 hectares including large plots in the finest sub regions of Luján de Cuyo and the Uco Valley. Many of these vineyards are situated at altitudes of between 3000 and 3,500 feet, which tempers the Mendoza heat and makes for more refined and balanced wines. All vineyards are operated on an organic basis and are irrigated from natural melted Andes snow water.

Grape Variety

100% Malbec.

Grapes were hand harvested throughout the middle of March, from vines with an average age of 20 years. After a short pre fermentation cold soak (24 hours), the wine was aged for 6 months in a mix of second and third fill French oak barrels to round off and soften it. The whole aim of the “La Flor” Malbec is to make an accessible and early drinking style, but without any loss of power or definition.

Alcohol Percentage
