This wine is from the estate of Langlois Chateau, in Saumur situated in the heart of the Loire Valley. Grapes are sourced from 6 quality terroirs which largely consist of chalky soils, very favourable to the production of elegant wines.
60% Chennin Blanc, 20% Cabernet Franc, 20% Chardonnay.
Grapes are entirely handpicked and pneumatically pressed immediately after gathering. Clever use of the red Cabernet Franc grape to add weight and texture (à la Pinot Noir in Champagne). Maturation on lees for a minimum of 24 months.
Drink now, will cellar for up to three years.
The 19th Century Langlois Chateau has long had a fine reputation, but in the last 40 years significant Bollinger investment in both the vineyards and cellars has transformed the quality. Today they are one of the very finest producers in the region.
Fine bubbles, freshness and elegance, this Crémant de Loire Brut is perfect as an aperitif or at any celebration. Brilliant with crab salad or sushi.
