Origin
Probably Spain’s most famous wine region – it is actually sub divided into three areas, the finest two of which are Alta and Alavesa. The vast majority of fruit for this Ondarre Reserva is sourced from the Alta province.

100% Graciano.
Grapes are fermented at controlled temperatures in vats, then aged in new French oak and medium grain American oak for 12 months.

Producer
Bodegas Ondarre was founded in 1986, a subsidiary to the Bodegas Olarra Group - one of most respected name in Rioja - who also manage nearby Bodegas Olarra. The estate name comes from a hundred-year old country house, owned by the founding family of the winery.
Food Match
Fine match with almost any lamb dish, slow roasted or casserole. Duck breast in a non sweet sauce would also work well.
